1994 Harley Davidson FXLR Lowrider. FXR is regarded as one, if not the best, Harley design. This was the last year for the FXLR Lowrider Custom model.

Bike was purchased new, customized for and owned and ridden by 4-time Indy Champ Rocket Rick Mears for 15 years!

Purchased new at Terreson’s Harley Davidson in PA and sent directly to Damon's Creations for custom work.

Damon's Creations was Tom Prewitt Jr's shop in Long Beach CA. Tom was Jessie James' painter during the West Coast Chopper TV days.

Modifications performed at Damon's Creations (verified in my talks with Tom):

18 X 5 and 21 X 2.15 twisted spoke wheels

Chrome calipers front and rear

LaPara seat

Led taillight

Custom hand levers and mirrors

Billet triple trees and chrome lower legs

Upgraded shocks

Cycle shack exhaust

The bike was then transported the Edelbrock where a complete, and one of the first performer kits, was installed (heads, cam, quick sliver carburetor, etc.). The added a set of cycle shack taper exhaust also.

Rick owned bike and kept at his Sarasota, FL home till 2010. He sold a Penske/Marlboro PR circuit team member.

I purchased the bike in 2022. I replaced the tires that had been on bike since 1995, did a complete service, installed new stainless rotors and brake pads. Replaced battery

This was my Sturgis rally bike for 2023. Rode it all Sturgis, Deadwood and the Black Hills. Won Best Savior at Buffalo Chip EVO entanglement show, Best FXR Cycle Source show at the Iron Horse Saloon.
