1988 Harley-Davidson Sportster 883 Hugger custom show bike. Asking $10,000 OBO.

This motorcycle was purchased used, stripped down and rebuilt from the ground up in 2015. I was told the build was completed by Chad Michaelis of Waukesha, Wisconsin, specifically as a show bike, and that it won multiple trophies.

A Harley-Davidson mechanic who inspected the motorcycle said the engine appeared to be a fresh build and estimated that approximately $12,000 was invested in the motorcycle’s custom parts, build and workmanship.

Additional documented work completed during my ownership includes a new battery, new spark plugs, engine and transmission fluid service, filter service, brake-fluid service and additional hardware repairs.

MILEAGE AND SPEEDOMETER DISCLOSURE:

The motorcycle’s current odometer displays 795.5 miles, believed to represent mileage accumulated since the ground-up rebuild. The Wisconsin title records an odometer reading of 16,069 miles and states that the motorcycle is exempt from odometer disclosure.

The aftermarket speedometer’s live speed reading becomes inaccurate at certain riding speeds and cannot be properly calibrated. This issue is documented on the Harley-Davidson service record. An OEM or GPS-based speedometer could be installed if desired.
