2008 HARLEY DAVIDSON SOFTAIL SPRINGER CROSSBONES
(Old School, Blacked Out, Modern Version, Fuel Injected, 6-Speed Softail Springer)
_____________________________________________________________________________________
This bike is a factory Harley Davidson that is now a professionally custom designed, beautiful show bike that grabs the attention of everyone—it stops you in your tracks and makes you come back for a second look. Those who stop to look at the paint job will be impressed at the intricate details such as tribal tattoos buried under skulls, covered by mandarin orange candy with two-color hand painted slashed style pin stripping. Detailed paint work covers the gas tank, front/rear fenders and outer primary cover. The handle bar controls and components clutch and brake levers have been taken apart and painted gloss black with two coats of clear. The clutch and brake lever where machine drilled to give the girder style theme to match the custom mirrors and shift lever. The skull theme was carried throughout the bike with the Willie G. Skull Collector Series of caps and covers along with the Kuryakyn Zombie Series floor boards, foot pegs and shifter and brake pedals. The bike also has chrome frame inserts, chrome rear pulley bolt kit, chrome bezels and bolts for rear fender support and a chrome bolt kit for outer primary. It also has a rear detachable crossbones edition sissy bar and matching back pad. The seat has been changed to be much more comfortable to drive with a 2009 Fatboy seat and pad. The bike has a custom billet head light, along with a detachable Harley Davidson windshield kit so that you can remove the windshield when you want to enter it in shows. I chose to go with a set of Vance & Hines black ceramic coated short shots with chrome tips. It has an Arlen Ness stage one air cleaner kit and Vance & Hines fuel pack engine programmer Please look over the pictures of all the parts invoices and prices put in to customizing this bike. The paint job on this bike would normally range from $2500 to $3000. Suggested retail on this bike new is $17,200. With all the accessories and custom paint the bike is worth $23,000.
Now a little history about me. I have been in business for 23 years building custom cars, bikes and boats that have met the satisfaction of many customers as well as myself. My hobby and love to customize has made me a successful business owner. I own and operate Unlimited Collision Center, Inc. in Potosi, MO where I do both insurance and private work. My technicians and I are all ICAR Certified in framework, painting, body repair and welding. Within the framework of my business, I also buy and rebuild salvage automobiles and motorcycles to sell as I have my dealer’s license. All automobiles and bikes are put back to manufacturer’s specifications and inspected by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. This inspection changes the salvage title to a PRIOR Salvage Title which means that it is as fully licensable and fully insurable as any other vehicle on the road.
This bike has a PRIOR Salvage Title and was rebuilt after being dropped into a highway median when the driver failed to make a turn at an off ramp. Damage to the bike included handle bars, headlight, dent to the gas tank, scuffed seat and rear fender. Exhaust pipes had some dings and grass stuck in them. The gas tank was replaced because the dent had pushed the gas cap down on the tank. I have pictures of the bike before it was repaired and can show you the exact damage which was mostly cosmetic. I kept the original seat as it only has a scuff and the original exhaust pipes if you would like those with the sale. The bike had 812 miles on it at the time of the accident. This picture is included as well as a current picture showing the miles that I have driven the bike throughout the summer which includes a trip to Memphis, TN and Sturgis, KY. The bike absolutely rides like new.
Please feel free to look at my EBay rating. I am proud to have a 100% Satisfaction Rating. This rating and my reputation, as my customers could attest, is extremely important to me. I strive to please my customers.
If you are looking for a bike to show or that is a conversation starter, this bike is for you. Not only will you enjoy the comfortable ride you will enjoy the attention the bike receives as you make friends along the highways. Even though this is how I make my living, I must say this is one bike that is hard to put up for sale--it is really hard for me to let this one go! Please feel free to call me with any questions.
