This makes a great get around bike or a nice conversion into something personal. The bike is a Roadster with dual front brakes. Just underwent a carburetor rebuilt and a general checkup. The problem this bike faces is the first gear is hard to engage and it takes a while to get the hang of how to get it into first. It does and shifts perfect through the other gears just has an issue with first.

The bike has its obvious cosmetics for a 19-year old bike not bad though and it makes a great rider. Watch the walk-around for a good condition view and hear it fire up at the end of the video.

The Sportster has been the most recognized small Harley even though it really is a rather heavy bike for what is considered “Entry Level”. Not surprising some Harley riders with bigger bikes add a Sportster to their own garage for the quick run-around trip without bringing out the “big gun”. It is heavy enough to ride solid yet agile enough to just fling it around. Loved by shorter and female riders for its easy handling and loved by big guys for the power/weight ratio.

The Sportster is offered in two power units. The traditional 883 engine and the 1200 engine. Both are equally interesting bikes with tons of options by aftermarket manufacturers to customize this bike from head to toe for small money.
