1982 Harley Anniversary Sportster XLHA

I am the third owner on this bike and I know where its been since it came from the factory. It has been ridden sporadically and stored for years over its life I got it in 2001.

I’ve changed the oil and filter regularly and replaced the Voltage Regulator and clutch and the handgrips.This is the Sportster 25th anniversary edition. There were 932 of these made according to the forums inline. I don’t have the original paperwork that came from the factory but was told that this can be obtained.

The tank has some chips and a scratch on the side but I have a brand new one ready to go on I got from HD. The rear fender was bumped and has buckled a little on both sides (see pictures). The front fender has a few chips and scratches from normal street riding. The bike runs perfect and strong. Always winterized properly and kept garaged. The bike was ridden by adults only for its entire life. I have the original mufflers one is missing a bracket it looks to have been sawed off not broken, original seat and air cleaner along with some other misc. parts. I also have throw over HD soft saddle bags. The battery is 3 years old maintenance free and took a charge this spring and started the bike all summer.

Please don’t contact me to tell me you can buy one like this for $2500 dollars save us both the time and go buy it. I realize I can’t control what happens to the bike after I sell it but my hope is that it will go to someone who realizes it’s true worth and either restores it or keeps it like it is, as close to stock as possible. If you understand what this bike represents and can give it the respect I have please call or email.
