1969 XLCH La Catrina chopper - No expense was spared in my recreation of a ‘69 era frisco chopper. I love the simplicity of the xlch- magneto ignition, no battery, kick only, sleek. All parts are vintage, NOS, or highest quality (but with an eye to authenticity). Polished heads and cases, rebuilt top end, rebuilt Zenith Bendix carb. Rebuilt wheels with polished aluminum Akront rear and Sun front rims and Buchanan stainless steel spokes, with original mechanical brakes (rebuilt). Custom hand tooled leather seat. Custom Gunslinger frame from Jason at Flyrite choppers right here in SF (35° rake, 4" up, 2" out-). Nods to modern tech include rare earth magnets (doubles energy of initial spark) in the fully rebuilt magneto (Joe Hunt), Cycle Electric generator, and a horn relay (discrete brass button in handlebar). Otherwise, this could be right out of 1969, but better!
