You are looking at a beautiful example of one of Harley Davidson's greatest bikes. As its name suggests, the Convertible's claim to fame is its ability to change from a stripped-down boulevard cruiser to a back-road tourer. It accomplishes this through the use of a quick release full-sized Lexan windshield and removable soft saddlebags. When stripped it is essentially a Dyna Low Rider. When dressed out it could be seen as the equivalent of a sporty Road King.

It comes with a comfortable passenger backrest and passenger seating. Remove the windshield and and saddlebags and you've got yourself a great cruiser. Put the windshield and saddlebags on and you've got a touring bike. I have upgraded the windshield to "quick detach" so the whole process takes less than two minutes. This "baby" has been my daily rider and cross country touring bike since 2001 and is ready to roll...........

There is much more to the FXDS than its bags and shield. The Convertible offers real world suspension numbers: 6.89" of travel in the front, 4.77" in the rear. Its 5.75" of ground clearance allows for respectable leans angles of 33.5° right and 34.5° left, easily the greatest of the Big Twins. Only a Sportster lets you hang it over further. To add to its sporting stance, the forks are mounted at a 28° rake, tighter than even the agile Sportster Sport and allowing for surprisingly agile handling for such a large ride. Dual front disc brakes haul the bike down with authority. Riding the back roads on the Convertible is a joy.

The teardrop shaped fuel tank, which has a single gas cap and a fuel gauge, holds 4.9 gallons of gas. The EPA estimated mileage of 50 highway and 42 city. My actual milage is about 52 on the highway.

All service on this bike has been done by either a Harley dealer or myself. I have complete service records. This bike has never been laid down or abused.............THIS IS MY BABY! The pictures speak for themselves, no dings or scratches. The paint & chrome really shine. This bike has always been garaged.

I have set a really low price since I just got married and the new wife wanted an "Electra Glide" like my parents.......go figure! This bike is paid for and I have the title in hand.
