In 2019 the big Harley-Davidson customizing contest “Battle of the Kings” took place and for the first time worldwide. The custom bikes, which were built around the globe last winter, competed in the national finals. Participants can choose a motorcycle from the entire Harley-Davidson model family (excluding CVOs and trikes). Participants can choose from three categories of current customizing trends- Dirt - (Tracker/Scrambler/Desert Sled) Chop - (Bobber/Traditional/Hardtail) Race - (Street/Sport/Track) The bike called SR 93 embodies the Race category - it’s even been track-tested. This wicked, completely redesigned Fat Bob from Buddy Stubbs Harley-Davidson came together with the help of students from the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (who happen to be Army veterans), with Screamin Torque Cam and SE ported and polished heads being just a few of the top level components packed onto this speed demon. A re-fabbed tail section and narrowed Road Glide fairing anchor the rear and front. Race Tech G2-R cartridges with a Rach Tech Custom Series rear mono-shock ensure that every single foot pound of torque is put to the ground just as quickly as the oversize front and rear rotors are able to bring it to a halt.
