If you start too high and lower your price later, you will not benefit from our Buyer Alerts or the Home page exposure on the day the bike is listed. To set a competitive price for your bike, do a comparison search and refer to the pricing resources available on ChopperExchange.com. Keep in mind that the buyer will compare your bike to the other bikes on our site and will lose interest if your price is too high. If you have invested a lot of money into your bike and expect to get every penny back, it may take a little longer for the right buyer, who will fully appreciate all the extra add-ons, to come along. Be realistic!
It is important to have at least one clear picture of your motorcycle at the time you list it because your listing appears on the Home page and keeps moving down the page as more motorcycles are listed on the site. Clear pictures grab potential buyers’ attention, especially on the Home page!
Since there is no length restriction on our listing description, use it as an opportunity to tell the seller everything he/she needs to know about your bike. To keep your listing organized, use bullet points to list all the information you would like to share with the potential buyer. Some important information to include: motorcycle’s condition, any extras that may have been added on, how the bike was stored, motorcycle’s maintenance history, how many people have owned the motorcycle, shipping options, best way to contact you, and the reason(s) you are selling the bike. Break your description into short paragraphs and don’t use all CAPITALS.
Always include the fastest method interested buyers can use to contact you. Make sure your telephone number(s) and e-mail address are current. Always respond to buyer inquiries on time.
Buyers love to hear how your bike sounds, especially if they cannot travel to see it in person. A 90 second video clip is sufficient as long as it shows the following: a 360° walk around the bike while it is not running, someone starting the bike, idle shot of the bike running, and someone riding away on the bike.
For an additional $20, your bike will appear at the top of the search results whenever someone searches for your make and model. For example, if your motorcycle is on the fifth page of the search results when someone searches for your make and model, the Featured Listing option will move it up to the top. This means that, with the Featured Listing, your motorcycle has a better chance of being seen.
Each motorcycle appears on the Home page the day it is listed and it keeps moving down the page as more motorcycles are listed on the site. Additional Home Page Exposure can be purchased at $10 per day. Sellers can purchase as many days as they wish to have their bike on the Home page. This is an excellent option for individuals who update their listings and want more exposure.
