An excellent example of a Forty Eight that has been used properly and is still a great looking and running bike. The color is a stunner and sets this Sportster apart in the sea of black. The bike runs strong. The bike has very little flaws based on the use it has seen. Both the battery and oil reservoir covers have paint damage but they can be replaced with a new painted set you can order from Amazon for $80. Minor paint damage on the rear fender by the seat (See the walk around video on our website where we point out all flaws). The bike is mostly stock with the original pipes even. The heatshield on one is dented and the end-tips on the muffler have small scrapes as expected. This bike is clean and shows very nice. At $2,000 under Kelley Blue Trade-In value. Yes, Trade-In value!

The Sportster has been the most recognized small Harley even though it really is a rather heavy bike for what is considered “Entry Level”. Not surprising some Harley riders with bigger bikes add a Sportster to their own garage for the quick run-around trip without bringing out the “big gun”. It is heavy enough to ride solid yet agile enough to just fling it around. Loved by shorter and female riders for its easy handling and loved by big guys for the power/weight ratio.

The Sportster is offered in two power units. The traditional 883 engine and the 1200 engine. Both are equally interesting bikes with tons of options by aftermarket manufacturers to customize this bike from head to toe for small money.
