First Half of 2012 in Review: V-Twin Motorcycle Industry Data
In the latest 2012 Market Data Book, PowerSports Business published survey data of 254 motorcycle dealers located in 44 sates and Canada.According to the published data, 75% of the V-twin dealers reported that 30% (or more) of their business came from new motorcycle sales during the first half of 2012. American V-twin dealers also realized the highest sales revenue in the month of April, and lowest in January.
Harley-Davidson® dealers dominated the market with 35% of market share, followed by Kawasaki and Yamaha with 15% each, and Honda with 14%.
