Use Facebook to Sell in 2012
As you enjoy the winter holidays with family and friends, we encourage you to take a few minutes and think about all the opportunities of 2012. One of those opportunities is utilizing Facebook to build customer relationships and generate sales. Yes, Facebook is a great tool for many business functions, especially marketing.
Just this week, we conducted an online survey among ChopperExchange Facebook fans in an effort to gauge the biker community's involvement with Facebook. This particular survey produced the following findings, which are very useful to motorcycle dealers:
57% of the survey respondents indicated that they spend 1-3 hours on Facebook during a typical day. More than 10% of the respondents spend more than 5 hours on Facebook during a typical day.
More than 85% of the respondents indicated that they do not use Twitter.
More than 75% of the survey respondents were between the ages of 36 and 55. Only 28% of the respondents were female.
The graph below shows how much of Americans' social networking time is spent on Facebook. It is yet another reminder that Facebook is a powerful marketing tool, especially for companies interested in building strong relationships with their customers.
We hope that this encourages you to see Facebook as more than "something you use to stay in touch with friends", but as a powerful marketing tool for 2012.
