The Bike Is now running, replaced oil lines, fuel line, new intake seals, air filter, fresh oil- bike is running great. The 1984 FXWG was the last of the shovelheads. Only 1500 were produced that year and this may be the last shovel ever made. It runs the EVO wet clutch instead of the old style dry clutch. The bike has many upgrades to vastly improve it's performance and reliability over that of the stock H-D product.

Engine is an 88 inch S&S Sidewinder assembled, balanced and installed by Gary Stroud (multiple AMA Pro-Gas national winner) with dual plug, ported and polished heads running roller rockers that were done by Dave Maki at Fueling-Rivera, also an AMA pro-gas multiple national winner. Currently running solid lifters but comes with a set of Velva-Touch lifters that are close tolerance hyd. lifters that can be used with a solid lifter cam and makes no solid lifter noise. A Barnet Kevlar clutch pack with racing spring is installed to handle the horse power. And to ease the amount of force required to pull the clutch lever against this stronger spring, a Micro Mouse clutch assist device has been installed. Has Dyna single fire ignition. All internal engine parts are S&S. S&S Super E carb with a full set of jets to go with it. Python II pipes, All Balls Racing 1.5kw high torque starter, oil cooler. Lower cases are stock so all numbers match. Always ran synthetic oil that was changed every 1000 miles. This S&S rebuild has only 500 miles on it!

Stock frame is unaltered with front forks by Franks with Progressive Suspention internals and Progressive rear shocks. Stock 4 speed tranny with rear belt drive was just gone through and looked very good, replaced the thrust bearing because it was little worn. Chroming on the rocker boxes, outer primary, nose cone and some other parts was done by Browns in show chrome and looks like new. All the fasteners are chrome. Some of the other chrome has very miner pitting that should polish out. Wheels are a little rusty. Comes with custom buffalo hide saddle bags and a tool bag, leather duffle bag and leather tent bag for long trips. Corbin seat looks kind of ugly until the end of a 500 mile day, then its really nice. Most of the parts taken off the bike will go with it including 4 cams and all the nuts and bolts. This bike was very reliable making several multi thousand mile trips across country. But, it has set for several years and the oil lines and fuel lines need to be replaced as do the intake manifold gaskets. The brake lines and clutch and throttle cables should be OK as they are braided stainless steel over Teflon. I did run the bike for 20 miles or so two or three times a year while I could but had to quit riding because of my health. This bike would be great as is or with a rolling chasis would make a great chopper. Mite be able to get buyer a good deal on a custom airbrush paint job, son is a painter and has had bikes featured in Easy Riders. He is at Aircuda.com.
